I designed a Dachshund Crochet Pattern awhile back and have loved the response I have gotten on it. I only made up a couple at the time I was designing them, but a custom order was submitted and here he is...
I think I'll call him Fred, I don't know why. Just sounds good at the moment.
I love making up gifts for people, but I am starting to think I will no longer do custom orders on my Etsy shop. I have had too many people ask me do something and then they don't buy it and never get back in touch with me to tell me why. Poor little guy was refused because he was the wrong color. The person that requested him didn't tell me that they wanted a specific color! I know, I should have asked, bad on my part. I'm not sure I want to sell him or not now, he is too cute.
At least this one won't eat and poop!

Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern
This is the knitting stitch I'm working on this week.
It's a very simple pattern with great texture. I have had problems finding stitches to use with finer yarns that have some body to them. Many lace stitches seem to blend all together and make it hard to really see the texture of the stitch. I was looking through a stitch book I have, The Encyclopedia of Knitting and Crochet Stitch Patterns published in 1976, for something new and came across this lace stitch.
I have used it on the cuff of some Fingerless Gloves with great results
I used Red Heart's Symphony yarn which is really soft, mohair like yarn.
100 % Acrylic
• Subtle melange of colors are gently brushed to create the look and feel of mohair at a great price!
• Lovely alone or mixed with other medium weight yarns.
• Soft, easy-care 100% acrylic yarn.
• 3.5 oz/100g/310 yd/283m ball.
• Machine wash/dry. Imported.
• Crochet gauge in single crochet, size J-10 (6mm) hook: 12 sc and 14 rows = 4" (10cm). Knit gauge in stockinette stitch, size 8 (5mm) needles: 19 sts and 24 rows = 4" (10cm).
Here's the Pattern:
K - knit
Yo - yarn over
Tog - stitch two together
P - purl
Use Even number of stitches
Row 1: K 1, *yo, p 2 tog, repeat from * across row, end k 1.
Repeat Row 1 for Pattern Stitch
So Simple !
