Below you will find a good rule of thumb for makeup expiration dates. Remember however that mineral makeup keeps it's integrity for about double the time of liquid or other powdered makeups.

Foundation - 12-16 months (mineral foundation- 24-36 months)
Powder- 18-24 months
Mascara - 4-6 months
Concealer - about 12 months (mineral concealer- 24-36 mos.)
Lipstick - 12-16 months
Eye Shadow - about one year (mineral eyeshadow- 24-36 months)

I received several products to try out from the great people at
Erth Minerals.  I am so pleased with every one I received!

I've been searching for mineral makeup with more of a matte finish and not filled with all that shinny glitter.  I'm way too old for all that glitter and Erth Minerals has provided me with several eye shadows, blush and a foundation with no or very, very little shimmer.

These are the most beautiful colors I've seen.  The blue and green remind me of Peacock feathers.
The eye shadows go on so smoothly and blend in so well together.  I think it is a bit too much shimmer for day use, but would be perfect for any evening out.
I am so pleased with the purity of these eye shadows and the beauty.  Mica is one of the main ingredients used in eye shadows, it is the color and glimmer.  

"Mica (CI 77019): an inorganic, colorless silicate mineral used in cosmetics to provide slip, luster and adhesion. Mica is available in many grades, with a range of textures from matte to shimmery. Some grades are known as "sericite" which is a matte form of mica. Approved for use in cosmetics in the U.S., E.U. and Japan. At Alima Pure, mica is used in most of our cosmetics for its luxurious silkiness and subtly reflective properties"

 I have tried several "store brand" eye shadows and always with the same result.  They really bother my eyes, they leave my eyes watery all day and feel like there is grit in them.  I have not experience that at all with Alima Pure eye shadows.

This is a great way to introduce yourself to Mineral Makeup and that's what I did.  Lumiere was so nice and sent me a sample set of their foundation, 2 eye pigments, blush and a lip color.  I have been having fun with it ever since.  I am fairly new to the whole experience of Mineral Makeup and have been learning a few things along the way, Did you know your skin warms up the Minerals while it mixes with you natural oils and softens the look throughout the day? I know now.
When I first applied the makeup I thought it was way to light, but within a 1/2 hour the color blended in with my natural tones and looked great. 
The sample sizes are generous enough to get you started and to see what blends will work best for you.  The eye shadows that I was sent looked too dark at first for my fair skin, but again, I'm learning, they are perfect and I enjoy the look. The little lipstick sample is perfect for carrying around in your purse.
 Something else I have learned, the application of mineral makeup is much quicker than traditional makeup, or at least it is for me.  I love that it blends in so well and you don't have to worry about lines along your jaw bone or a fingerprint in your foundation you missed.

 I LOVE MINERAL MAKEUP!

I love how easy it is to use and I find it is much quicker for me to apply than my old stuff, I am very pleased with how "natural" it looks.

Emani was kind enough to send me a few products to test out.  Shopping for mineral makeup online can be a bit tough, the colors are never really the same as they show on your screen and I'm finding out that the descriptions don't always give you enough information. 

I really do not like the glittery colors, I prefer matte's, so I really spent some time deciding on the products I wanted to try. Even spending that extra time, I didn't pick very well, I'm having second thoughts about the color dust and lipstick choices.  The color dust is very glittery!  lol. It is a coppery color and the tone I was looking for, but I didn't realize it was all glitter,  I'm not sure when I would ever wear this color, but it is fun to play with at home. The lipstick is much brighter than it shows up on the computer screen, I was looking for something in the pink shades, but not this bright.  I found that I can blend it with some lip gloss I have to get the color closer to what I wanted.

The foundation and blush I picked was right on, perfect match for my tones and it covers up my slight rosea redness on my cheeks with a thin coat.

The foundation, blush, lipstick and color dust all are very easy to apply and stay natural looking all day for me. I am always shocked at how little mineral makeup is needed to give full coverage with a natural look.   

Unlike liquid foundation, Mineral Foundation does not leave streaks, fingerprints and those awful lines along your jaw bone. 

Mineral Makeup "warms" up to your skin.  After about a hour, you notice that the tint gets a little darker as it mixes with your natural oils and enhances the appearance and smoothness.

The makeup feels very light on my face and I forget I have it on.  My eyes have been very sensitive to other products and I have experienced no problems with the color dust irritating them.

The price is very affordable and shipping was very quick.  The sizes are ample and should last me a long time since you only have to use a tiny bit.
