I have used Scott's Liquid Gold products for years and still love it today. 
Look at the results I had on my Grandfather Clock after using the Wood Wash and following up with the Wood Cleaner & Preservative

My poor clock gets hit with afternoon sun and a male dog that thinks he has to mark it daily ! Yuck !!!
