Jaguar - a slinky, golden-brown shimmer that pairs with everything

Macaw - as vibrant as the tropical bird - light shimmering teal

Kapok - a deep, dark brown sparkle to bring depth to your look

This collection is available for a limited time. $2 from each collection sold will be donated to the Rainforest Action Network.

$30.00

Alima Pure pays homage to the "jewels of the earth", the Rainforest.  Between 45 and 75% of the world's species are indigenous to rainforest.  Important to the health of both the planet and to individuals, rainforest remove carbon doxide from the atmosphere and recycle water: and one quarter of the natural medicines in the world come from rainforest.

The full Alima Pure line is available on-line and at select boutiques and spas.  The line is comprised of over 250 products with 60 shades of foundation, so that every woman can find her perfect match.  Alima Pure carries the European BDIH "Certified Natural Cosmetics" seal which guarantees that it's safe for both the body and the environment.

Typical department store makeup contains mostly "carrying agents", preservatives, fillers and some mineral pigmentation. This provides a thick makeup with a set amount of color in each drop. Not only are there many concerns about the safety and sustainability of the ingredients in some of these products, but they tend to feel heavy and don't offer much control over the amount of coverage and color you want to apply.

Pure mineral makeup contains nothing but the finest minerals, specially processed to be light, silky and stay on your skin. Some minerals provide the color, others provide the opacity and - in shimmery products - the sparkle. Some minerals naturally protect skin from the sun and environment and happily, these are minerals common to almost every product we make.

These are the most beautiful colors I've seen.  The blue and green remind me of Peacock feathers.
The eye shadows go on so smoothly and blend in so well together.  I think it is a bit too much shimmer for day use, but would be perfect for any evening out.
I am so pleased with the purity of these eye shadows and the beauty.  Mica is one of the main ingredients used in eye shadows, it is the color and glimmer.

"Mica (CI 77019): an inorganic, colorless silicate mineral used in cosmetics to provide slip, luster and adhesion. Mica is available in many grades, with a range of textures from matte to shimmery. Some grades are known as "sericite" which is a matte form of mica. Approved for use in cosmetics in the U.S., E.U. and Japan. At Alima Pure, mica is used in most of our cosmetics for its luxurious silkiness and subtly reflective properties"

I have tried several "store brand" eye shadows and always with the same result.  They really bother my eyes, they leave my eyes watery all day and feel like there is grit in them.  I have not experience that at all with Alima Pure eye shadows.
