The History of Tiger Balm

It all started with a journey. A journey that imperial court herbalist, Aw Chu Kin, took nearly 100 years ago from China to set up his humble medicine shop in Burma (now Myanmar). His vision was to sell a unique herbal ointment which originated in the old imperial courts of China to relieve and soothe the body aches and pains of its users.
Little did he know that this remedy would transcend generations even after his death. To continue the legacy he created, his sons - Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par - brought Tiger Balm to Singapore in the beginning of the 20th century and soon made it a household name.
Since then, Tiger Balm has grown to become one of the world's leading topical analgesics with an expanded product line that includes its traditional ointments, as wells as Tiger Liniment, Tiger Muscle Rub, Arthritis Rub, Back Pain Patches, and its new Neck and Shoulder Rub.
Tiger Balm was introduced to the United States' mainstream market in 1986 by Prince of Peace Enterprises, Incorporated, the sole US Distributor.

Sometimes items arrive in the mail just when you need them.  The day I received my sample of Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub I had a really bad sore neck.  I was so happy to see this box!  I tore it opened and applied it right away. What a relief, in just a few moments I started feeling the warming affect of the camphor and menthol working on the back of my neck and the warmth lasted for a long time.  It took no time for my neck to start loosening up and the pain was gone.

Tiger Balm is offering a $1.00 coupon on the purchase of Neck & Shoulder Rub through their website http://www.mytigerbalm.com/coupons/ or through our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/TigerBalmUS
